We caught a glimpse of the BlackBerry KickStart yesterday and many of us were intrigued by the new form factor offered by Research in Motion.
The teaser is over. We’ve received even more information about the BlackBerry KickStart, the first clamshell from RIM, including a whole smattering of specs and features.
First of all, you’ll notice that this picture of the BlackBerry KickStart comes with T-Mobile branding. This seems to imply that they will be the first wireless provider to carry the flipping BlackBerry. You’ll also notice that the front face is certainly more attractive than the spy shot that we saw yesterday. Furthermore, there’s word that they will be launching the KickStart in a variety of colors. This is clearly a consumer-minded handset.
In terms of the rest of the specs, you should expect to get quad-band GSM/GPRs/EDE, a “Next Gen” SureType keyboard, 2 megapixel camera, dual displays with 16-bit color, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headset jack, and BlackBerry OS 4.6. The current rumor has the T-Mobile launch scheduled for September. Check out BGR for more pics.
